My Motif & Repeat Pattern

During this project, I learned how to use the pattern tool, the rotate tool, and some new techniques on the stroke tool. Some troubles I had with this project was that I wanted to make a unique stroke but not something you couldn't understand. I put together a couple different designs and I put them together to make something unique and fun. For my motif, I got inspiration from looking at different designs on the internet as well as around the school. To put the rotate tool to good use, I made a simple design first and rotated it to make something like a flower.

  1. I love the way the Motif is. I love the many different lines that circle/rotate around into one. I like the repeat pattern. It has a little illusion to it. Good job! :D

  3. The second pattern reminds me of a snowflake. I think it's very simple and nice. If the first pattern was a little less messy I think it would create a very clean design

  4. I think the repeating pattern has nice added depth from the change in the stroke style. The motif looks almost like a flower although it is a little busy.
